Amazing Maths Wizards in Room 7

Well done Hunter and Gurpreet for passing your Stage 6 number assessment and now starting to work on Stage 7 concepts.

Digital Learning in Room 7

Today we started exploring some amazing digital learning through a few great iPad apps. Students worked in groups while being able to view everyone on the screen.

Week 6 Homework

Well done to everyone who showed great pride in their presentation and excellence in their researching. I was also very impressed with the growing number of students who are making sure their homework log is filled out correctly so Mr Dufty can see what you are reading at home. I have also notice improving basic facts scores, these are our addition, subtraction, multiplication and division knowledge. This again highlights those students who are practising at home.

This week we will start homework club for those students who need access to computers and other materials to help with their homework. This will be on Tuesdays and run from 3:00pm to 3:45pm.

Week 5 Homework

Well done Room 7 on your effort with your homework and basic facts work. I was very impressed with the students in Mr Bloor's maths group who are now also working on extra maths word problems. I am really enjoying seeing the amazing pride students are showing.

This week the School Leaders are going to visit the Major of Hastings to receive their blue shirt and two students will be receiving something special at this weeks Assembly.

Congratulations Moana on being last week Principal Award winner and Tangaroa for winning the House Trophy.
