ANZAC

Our homework this week is on something that is very important to what makes us New Zealanders. It is a moment in time and a attitude that we are all very proud of.

You are to create a K.W.L about ANZAC day and the ANZACs.

This is what a KWL looks like. But you can have fun with the presentation.

What I Know.	What I want to know.	What I learnt.
These are the facts you already know. Write them down.	These are the questions you want to explore and find out.	This is were you place your answers.

How to complete the task.

Monday Night: Sit down and write down all the facts you know about the ANZACs and the two World Wars. Mum and Dad can help sharing things they know as well. Don’t go on the internet and find things out!

Tuesday Night: Write down a list of questions of thing you want to learn about ANZAC day and the two World Wars. Who, What, When, Where, Why and How questions are always good.

Wednesday and Thursday Night: Explore and find the answers to your questions. You can add any extra facts you find.

Mr Dufty's Rules for Research.

• Don't use Google!! Mum, Dad and your family should be the first people you speak to. 
• Make your presentation fun BUT full of information!
• Don't copy what you find - write in your own words! This is stealing!!
• One page only - so PLAN before you put it in your book!!!!
• Get Mum or Dad to check that you have answered all the questions. Ask them for some help, as they will know lots of stuff!
