Week 8 Homework

Well done on trying your hardest last week. It was a short week and nearly everyone handed in their homework. Unfortunately there was a few students who didn't even attempt their spelling, reading and basic facts. For my Year 6 student's this is key part of your own learning and it will become an important fact of life at Intermediate and High School.

So this week Mr Dufty is focusing on students completing their literacy and basic facts skills. Everyone needs to make sure they are paying special attention and getting their homework book sign. A special mention needs to go out to Jordan, Eden, Hunter, Jashar and Shaquila for making sure they are sharing with their parents. Io everyone who is trying to keep on top of this. I have really noticed this students who are making the effort. I also need to thank Porsche and Smita who are making huge strides with her presentation.

Below are photos of Jordan's homework during this term. I have been amazed at the dedication she has to her independent learning. She is always setting high standards and I know Room 7 are always excited to see what she is going to bring in on Friday. I main thing that Jordan does every week is that she explores a topic and I can see that she has an inquiring mind. I have also impressed with those students who are trying to follow Jordan's lead and think carefully about how they can present their work.

Below is what I expect with your literacy and basic facts tasks. These are the most important part of your homework. If your homework comes to school with nothing recorded then I know you have not shown you parents. I only takes a minute to share with Mum or Dad.
