Room 7 Art Week

Room 7 are continuing with our art focus. We have started looking at relief or block printing. Mr Dufty has produced two linocuts which students will print and had colour by hand.

Stars

Room 7 also explored different ways of making marks with Indian ink. We have a variety of tools (bamboo, brushes, stamps) to make marks on a star. On each part of the star students use a different tools to mark a different type of mark or patterns. Tomorrow they will add dye to make them sparkle.

The last part of our art week was exploring warm and cold colours through koru. Students firstly explored how to draw a koru so we weren't drawing snail shells! We then used oil pastels and investigated how to blend colours.

What a great week Room 7. What an amazing group of super talented students!

Week 8 Homework Legends

We done Room 7 on trying a different way of doing our homework. I was very impressed with the students who showed self management by making sure they were well organised. I really like the way you made sure you were made sure you were completing the task the way Mr Dufty asked you to!

I was extremely impressed with Moana and Whatu. They showed great pride in their work. You are both awesome!
