Here is a little present from Mr Dufty and the Kid President. This kid is awesome!!!! Watch this video and think about how many of these things you say. Set yourself the goal of trying to say all 20 today and then everyday after that. See what happens if you do. Remember it only counts if you mean it!!

Skeletons

We are busy making skeletons. We have been learning about the skeleton, what it does and the names of the most common bones. Come in and see them in the classroom.

Fingerprints

This week Room 7 are investigating fingerprints. They have a series of questions of answer. We will add answers during the week.


Why do we have fingerprints?
To get a better grip and to feel and touch.

Are the fingers on both hands the same?
No. Each finger and hand is different.

Can you be born with no fingerprints
No or you just can't see them propley because there new.

Are there different types of fingerprints?
Yes there is the whirl it looks like a whirl pool, there is an arch that looks like a rainbow and there is the loop that looks like a roller coaster.

Do animals have something similar?
Koalas have fingerprints like humans.

Can you change your fingerprints?
No.

Are the fingerprints the same as your parents?
No you may not but you might have the same pattern.

Why and how do fingerprints get transferred to objects?
Your fingers produce natural oils that leaves marks on objects.
