Week 6 Homework

Well done to those who made sure they showed pride in their presentation. I was very impressed with the way students are starting to ask questions about who they are. I am also impressed with the effort some are putting in and their are developing an amazing publishing book them can be proud of.

Sasha's Awesome Homework

This week is the final piece of homework on our current topic. This week I would like students to create an 'All About Me' mini project/poster. On this page I would like students to tell the world who they are, what they like or dislike and their future dreams. They can use bits and pieces from their previous homework.

In this piece I also want parents and guardians to write a future wish for their child.

Some ideas that could go into their mini project:

  • Favourites and dislikes (Sports teams, music, art, movies, colours, fashion, shops, etc).
  • Hobbies.
  • Sports.
  • Family.
  • Friends.
  • Goals for 2014.
Some presentation points for students to remember:
  • Mr Dufty likes colour and fun so make sure you make your work stand out!
  • We do not publish in pencil. Pencil is for drawing and maths.
  • Spelling, grammar and punctuation is important so check these before you publish.
  • Get someone to check before you hand it in.
Homework hints for Room 7:
  • Start it on Monday - don't leave it to Thursday night. Your teacher can tell!
  • You must read for at least 5 minutes every night to an adult. This must be signed by an adult - no excuses; unless you live in a cave with no books, by yourself and on an island!
  • Practise the spelling words you don't know - why practice the easy ones!!??
  • Even if you don't finish your homework your homework book must come to school on Friday. Don't leave it at home. You all know I won't forget!!
