Homework - Week 2 Term 4 - THE SKELETON

• Make your presentation fun BUT full of information!

• One page only - so PLAN before you put it in your book!!!!
• Get Mum or Dad to check that you have answered all the questions. Ask them for some help as they will know lots of stuff!

3. What is the classification name of an animal with a skeleton and one without?

4. What are the different layers that make up a bone?

5. What is bone marrow and why is it important?

6. How many bones in an adult skeleton and why do babies have more?

7. What is the difference between a babies skull and a fully grown adult and why?

8. What is cartilage and why is it important?

9. Is your funny bone actually a bone?

10. What are the different joints called and where are they seen on a skeleton?

11.  How is your skeleton connected to your body and muscles?

12.  What are the different types of bone breaks called?

This week is your second mini project is on the skeleton. Remember to have fun with your presentation but you must convince me that you have investigated the topic fully. You will be mark on your presentation and originality of your written work. If you quote a book you must write down the name of the book and its author.
