This week is your second mini project is on the EYES.

Mr Dufty's Rules for Research.

• Don't use Google!! Use the links provided or find a book about the brain - use your brain!
• Make your presentation fun BUT full of information!
• Don't copy what you find - write in your own words! This is stealing!!
• One page only - so PLAN before you put it in your book!!!!
• Get Mum or Dad to check that you have answered all the questions. Ask them for some help as they will know lots of stuff!

This week you must answer these eight questions

2.    Find what are the similarities between a camera and your eyes?

3.    What are the different parts of the eye?

4.    What is colour blindness?

5.    Find five things that could cause problems with your sight?

6.    How do glasses correct eye sight?

7.    What is glaucoma?

8.    How can you protect your eyes?

Weeks 8 & 9

Thank you to all the parents who could make it to our Parent / Teacher conferences. It was great catching up  and being able to share the wonderful learning happening in Room 7.

We still have swimming this week. We finish on Thursday.

There is no homework for the remaining week of school. Well done to those students who have made the effort - you are amazing!!

What's new in Room 7?

This year Mr Dufty is very busy with PB4L. PB4L means Positive Behaviour for Learning and Ebbett Park School is very lucky to be included. Ebbett Park School was selected for this initiative because we are doing great things! This will mean the Mr Dufty will be out of the school at times when he attends training workshops. 

One thing we are trying this term is a new way of rewarding Room 7 students for doing the right thing. We will have a focus skill or behaviour. Every time Mr Dufty, Miss Clarke or Miss Avie notice a student doing great things we will put their face up on the wall. If they get four faces they then get free time on Friday. 

This also goes towards our House points and it has been very close. Rongo have made a great start with winning the House trophy this week. A huge well done also goes out to Zareus Smith who was included in the Book of Winners on Friday. Zareus has made a great start to the term.

If parent notices a student doing the right thing all the time please tell me and they will be acknowledged for their effort.
